Profile bangle

A profile is a sectional view of an element in architectural terms (see my reference photo).

The inspiration for this bangle was conceived during a time when I was working with many different timber trims that had decorative profiles. The shape of the profile is often hidden unless a piece of trim (like skirting board) is cut to reveal a side view. I think these beautiful forms deserve some attention on their own, so I used one of the skirting profile as a template and formed it to suit my wrist.

It is made of sterling silver; about 52mm by 48mm in size and 13mm wide.
