Rainwater Head Earrings

The concept for this piece began when I was searching for ideas to design a pair of light weight earrings and my nerdy side kicked in.

Rainwater heads and downpipes serve their practical roles in real life, but often receive little love from their designers. So, I thought I would grant them a new life in a different context. Perhaps now they can be seen as something a little more romantic than simply a device for collecting and diverting rain.

These are made in sterling silver, about 63mm long.
